SUMMER SCHOOLS IN AUGUST 2008!
This Summer, we held our first ever Bonners Music Summer Schools - with great success we might add!!
We held 2 different types of school, catering to complete beginners and those who were slightly more experienced.
Bonners Summer Rock School '08
The Summer Rock School was a roaring success - 5 days of learning songs and band sessions, putting together a "Set List" for their very own Bonners Band Gig!
Held on the main stage in the store, the participants got to experience the full works; sound and lighting checks, stage setting and finally, a true Rock Star performance in front of family, friends and staff.
A big thanks to Lee, Dave and Terry, our Bonners teachers for their help and rockin' inspiration!
Introduction To Music
Our Introduction To Music course also proved to be a massive success at doing exactly what we set out to do!
The students got to try their hands at the drums, keyboard, saxophone, electric guitar, violin, acoustic guitar and bass guitar plus some percussion and then had a free session on the last day to go back to the instrument they enjoyed the most!
By the end of the week we had managed to introduce a large group of 5 to 11 year olds to a number of different instruments and inspire them to be creative and to enjoy many different styles of music.
