Dave has been playing drums for over 10 years and has been teaching students of a broad age range for the past 3 years.
He has worked with various bands and artists and has gained experience in playing many different genres of music in doing so.
He is currently completing his degree in Professional Musicianship at Brighton Institute of Modern Music and also produces bands at his recording studio where he doubles as a session player.
Dave uses the Art of the Drummer book and his own scaled rhythm method. He encourages his pupils to bring in their own music, even at beginner level to ensure the the lessons are enjoyable and relevant. He believes that using these teaching methods helps pupils to develop a greater understanding and love of the drums as well as music in general.
